Waiting to Receive Delivery of First Samples with Packaging

Estimated Timeline for ScooperDuper™

Hi everyone,

The manufacturing partner that I’m working with has provided me with the following timeline.

There are still several steps that need to be done but right now they estimate them to be ready to ship to me in May 2020. From that point it will be about 5 weeks to ship it to me, and then I will ship them out to you, so right now it looks like they could be delivered to you in June 2020. This is a little later than my estimate of April 2020 in the Kickstarter campaign because I wasn’t able to place the order when I had hoped, because I was still finalizing the packaging, and because I did not take into account the Chinese New Year holiday in China where many businesses shut down for about 2 weeks out of the year.

I have asked the manufacturing partner if any part can be sped up and they said that maybe the mass production stage (which they allot 60 days for) can be sped up but it’s too early to tell now.

They have done a proof of the packaging and are ready to send it to me but they said it looked a little dark and wanted me to send lighter images, so I asked them to ask the printer if they can make adjustments and then send me both versions at the same time, so that we don’t have to wait for me to receive the dark samples and then ask my designer to make the images lighter, then send the new images back to them and wait for the next proof sample.

Thank you to those of you who offered to receive some of the ScooperDupers™ with blank white packaging as your reward items but that’s not necessary now. When I receive the pilot run, it will be with the full color packaging.

The next update will be next Monday, Jan 20, 2020.
